Reconnect with Your Body, Spirit & Roots ~
This gentle, six-week one-on-one guidance & mentorship with Mao Beckett (LCSW, LICSW) offers a grounded and compassionate introduction to embodied healing.
Rather than following rigid Western therapy and healing models, this journey honors the fullness of your lived experience by blending neuroscience, somatic practices, ancestral wisdom, and mindful presence to discover your path of remembrance, balance, regulation, and reconnection. Learn to shift out of overwhelm and into safety and connection with gentle ease.
In these six 60-minute sessions, you will begin to:
Integrative self-care rooted in neuroscience and nervous system care: Ground sustainable practices in nervous system regulation and emotional resilience, supporting harmony and integration, which are informed by Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) developed by Dr. Dan Siegel and Dr. Stephen Porges’s Polyvagal Theory.
Build a somatic toolkit that heals: Learn to sense, move, and integrate emotions through embodied awareness. This is the essence of somatic abolitionism, working with the body’s wisdom to release trauma and reclaim wholeness.
Reconnecting with nature and ancestral roots: Explore and engage in rituals and mindfulness practices that feed the soul and nurture generational healing. Learn how mind, brain, and relationships intertwine and how integration across body and relationships fosters emotional balance, empathy, insight, and resilience.
Awaken your spiritual self: Rediscover meaning, connection, and your inner guidance, supported by memory, narrative, and neural integration, central to Siegel’s IPNB framework.
A culturally aware, liberatory approach: This mentorship is consciously anti-oppressive, decolonizing, and trauma-informed, embodying somatic abolitionist values grounded in Dr. Resmaa Menakem’s Somatic Abolitionist approach that resists oppressive structures in mind-body healing spaces.
Explore attachment patterns with curiosity and compassion. Through the lens of attachment theory, uncover how early relational experiences shape your present nervous system and relational style.
Each session creates space for reflection, self-compassion, and embodied insight. Whether you are beginning your healing journey or looking to deepen it, this series is a sacred invitation to slow down, listen inward, and return home to yourself.

This mentorship series is especially designed for those who are just beginning their healing journey or returning to it with fresh eyes. You don’t need to have any prior experience with mindfulness, somatics, or ancestral work. You just need a willingness to slow down, be curious, and care for yourself in new ways.

Individuals new to mindfulness or somatic practice, yet open to healing nervous system dysregulation through embodied, relational, and ancestral-informed support.
Those yearning for meaning beyond mental health labels and wanting healing that embraces the nervous system, relationships, history, and spirit.
This is an invitation to slow down, rediscover yourself, and integrate body, mind, and lineage. No prior experience required, only willingness to begin.
